Updating from older versions

Due to the frequent changes to database structure, updates from older version can create some problems. Here there is a guide how to update from older version without losing any information.

Dvd Hunter

Version from 0.3.1 to 0.4.3

  1. install version 0.5.2, run it and save changes.
  2. install version 0.6.4, run it and save changes.
  3. install version 0.7.6, run it and save changes.
  4. install version 0.8.8, run it and save changes.
  5. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.4.4 to 0.5.2

  1. install version 0.6.4, run it and save change.
  2. install version 0.7.6, run it and save changes.
  3. install version 0.8.8, run it and save changes.
  4. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.6.x

  1. install version 0.7.6, run it and save changes.
  2. install version 0.8.8, run it and save changes.
  3. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.7.x

  1. install version 0.8.8, run it and save changes.
  2. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.8.x

  1. You can install version 0.9.x without problems

Game Hunter

Version 0.4.x

  1. install version 0.7.6, run it and save changes.
  2. install version 0.8.7, run it and save changes.
  3. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.7.x

  1. install version 0.8.7, run it and save changes.
  2. You can now install version 0.9.x

Version 0.8.x

  1. You can install version 0.9.x without problems

Book Hunter

Version 0.8.x

  1. You can install version 0.9.x without problems

Dvd Hunter (Tiger)

From 0.3.0 to 0.3.7

  1. install 0.5.4 version, run and save
  2. now you should read how to update from 0.5.x to 0.6.x

From 0.5.x to 0.6.x

I’m sorry there is a bug in tiger update function, the only way to install the new update is:

  1. Backup ”~/Library/Application Support/Dvd_Hunter_Tiger”
  2. Download the 0.5.4 version, install it and export all your movies
  3. Close Dvd Hunter
  4. Remove the folder ”~/Library/Application Support/Dvd_Hunter_Tiger” (remember the backup before erasing it)
  5. Download the version last version of Dvd Hunter Tiger install it and import again all your movies

From 0.6.x to 0.7.x

  1. You can install version 0.7.x without problems
